Elaborate Guide to Semi-Mastering Blitz by TNXARCMEPTB

After looking over the other Guide's and gathering what I know that they do not shed light on, I've decided to take it upon myself to dish out a few more Detail-oriented Guidelines that will only help you become more efficient on the various fields of Battle that you will delve into in your Blitz Career.

Part I - Flexibility

While everyone usually starts out just going one route(Tank, Assault Gun, Self-Propelled Gun, Tank Destroyer), it should be your ultimate goal despite what Combat/Military Skills you get, to be accustomed too all classifications at your disposal. Pick the one you like and be great at it, but in the long run it will help your future Company's, possible clanmates, and most importantly yourself, if you can be at least familiar with the others. Case in point, being an Open Beta, a wide variety of aspects of this game are still subject to change, without prior notice. If you happen to get stuck with only one field because of your level, and that fields loaded with Self-Propelled Guns, this is one of those times in life where its Not cool to be like everybody else. In this particular scenario, due to your lack of armor and health a majority SPG-population WILL, not maybe, not perhaps, they WILL be thrown into a retreat either to a facility with Field Guns, or all the way back to Fortress Guns. While the Soviets do tot a turreted SPG, this makes little difference. From personal experience if more people are running then staying to fight, others will hop on the bandwagon. Bishops included, who have meager armor to the rear(as they turn their backs so they can retreat faster).

^-Proper balance to a fields population will only help everyone else including yourself, and while you may be more skilled in a SPG, more Tanks and AGs to take the flak and get up close will do better than another SPG in the field. And getting comfortable with more than one playing style makes your overall worth to a battle increase. On the flip side, becoming familiar with another Class also gives you insight to it's strengths and weakness's, giving you the ability to judge how to engage certain enemies in each group you encounter, and who to engage first, particularly depending on how many allies you have and what kind of armor your allies are commanding. The specific possibilities are endless, so I won't try to stretch out this post any longer then what it will be by trying to elaborate -that much-

Part II - Stealth (Or Lackthereof for some of you)

While being in the heated big fights is rewarding most of the time, sometimes the situation on a particular field requires some behind the scenes work to be done. Particularly with capturing facilities, a prime example being a Radio Center. Most Strikes against an occupied Radio Center happen behind the occupying enemies lines. Which include making your way past numbers of enemy NPC's that patrol the area. I've seen perfect Strikes fall apart time and time again, because of one simple mistake. And that Mistake is...... Engaging the NPC's. I shall make this very clear to the unaware readers. THIS IS WRONG. When Operating with your Company, which is suggested as its good to use Teamwork, but otherwise applicable to any force moving to capture something that's a good stretch behind/away from the main battle. You Do Not Engage Enemy NPC's. You might be asking why if you're not aware. And I shall give an example. Everyone has been in a situation where they will see the yellow Engagement icon on their map and screen; near one of their facilities. Upon seeing this several players will usually always go to investigate, stumble upon someone whos triggered this icon by ENGAGING NPC'S and unless they're in force, be obliterated. This applies to both sides, so before you click the second time and nail that critical on that NPC for the easy Experience, ask yourself.. Is your scorching hulk of a tank-corpse going to help your Company capture that facility any faster if they're going Commando with a yellow Icon over their position on the map? If the answer isn't obvious, That is a Big No.
Most times even if you are unhidden, an NPC will not engage an enemy that hasn't shot at it first. So play low key and stick to taking out the Field guns and capturing the facility. If no engagement Icon appears, unless its the Field-HQ you are capturing, the untrained enemy will not notice they lost the facility, thus giving you the advantage of one plus RC/WF/Depot/Airfield AND the element of surprise, since your position has not been compromised.

Section B: Detecting the Stealthy - OMFG WHO'S SHOOTING ME?!

Once again this is a situation we can all relate too... You're cruising around, sometimes alone(which isn't advised by the way). And out of nowhere you start seeing a single, or if you're unlucky, a whole-freaking lot of shells start landing around you... What do you do? You glance around of course, But you don't see anyone. Most people I've observed in this situation merely pop off snipe, some kits, and shoot at the position they are -unable- to see. This is the 'out of control' response to this situation, where you are resorting to an uneffective and fruitless reaction to the incoming fire. Think about it. The enemy does Not have greater sight-range than you...Unless..He has another player farther ahead spotting for him in Hide. Unless your firing wildly giving away your position to the entire Eastern Front, this is the -only- way the enemy can fire at you without you seeing him. So if your radar is clear and you see shells lobbing in. Immediately pop your Scout and the tyrant will be revealed(in most cases). From hereon it is a struggle against how much health you have, how good you are at dodging, and how skilled you are at quickly taking down an enemy whom you can now see.

Part III - Leadership

This is a hard one. Given the variety of nationalities that play this game, communicating and therein, coordinating your movements and attacks on a particular Battlefield can be tough. But to those who are determined, this will be only one of many hurdles that you -will- overcome in your path to becoming a foe to be reckoned with. I do not speak much of the languages that said nationalities call their first, so this is a bit of a vague topic... But I'll say what I can. If you think you grasp and understand the logistics of strategy and moreover the logistics of the game, whether your name is yellow or not, You are a Commander. Irregardless of field-rank, whether your allies on the field are in your clan or company or not. Any Rational, down-to-earth strategist(realistically speaking, no stupid 'Lets all rush the FGuns as a horde so a few can get by and shoot them!' strategists need apply) will make a better Commander and contribution then a headless horde swaying from one side of the field to the other. If you see something taking place or just see something in general that demands attention. Don't just call it out, Evaluate what should be done, and include that in your Notice. Nine times out of Ten people will listen for the sake of someone stepping forward and looking at the bigger picture(though most times they just listen, without realizing you saw any picture at all)

I've seen posts and threads complaining about both sides Leadership, Teamwork, and lackthereof. Initiative Breeds Success, And we all like to Succeed I hope, so don't feel out of place if it seems unfamiliar, This is just a game, and who knows. Maybe you'll end up making more calls like that afterwords, and get better at spotting abnormalties and weaknesses in the way your side is engaging and distributing itself. As per the nationality thing, while it is a hurdle it is by no means a wall. There is a small but VERY helpful guide to coordinating with the Koreans pinned, and most times teamed with players whether they are chinese, Korean, Spanish or in one particular case..Dutch, I and others have been able to extract at least minimal understanding between them enough to get a picture across. And on that note, if you do find yourself in a Company with those who don't understand english. Use the Map! You can draw pictures ya know, and where words and texts might fail, Pictures are universal and overcome all language hurdles(not a barrier anymore heh). Arrows, [ symbols indicating holding a particular area, or circles for areas of interests. While you yourself may not physically possess the trait of communicating in different languages, there is more than enough ability in this game to still coordinate.

Part IV - Common Sense

If you're in battle and you come across an enemy who's been Overpowered or confused, Do not try to hamper him further after it wears off with the same skill. After being hit they are immune to the same powers for a full minute(I believe). Use one or the other for maximum effectiveness.

Rationing hampering skills will increase the damage you do all around. If your skills aren't recharged or the enemy has been hit by both. Target THOSE stationary targets first. Moving onto the next simply because hes held still and not able to retaliate is foolhardy and wrong. Your goal is to eliminate as many enemies as quickly as possible, and Concentrated Fire is the surest means of accomplishing this.

These are the more detailed aspects of Strategy to Blitz that I didn't see covered in detail with the other guides. And whether you play Germany, USSR, or both. I hope I've managed to teach you something new, or inspired you to try something new(and hopefully like it, or at least have fun) while you play this wonderful, but challenging game. Now head out, Master a new Class, Ninja a WF or AF, or maybe turn the tide of a fight. Most importantly, Have fun, and a given thing to understand is to Not Underestimate your opponents. Claiming victory because of a simple %vs.% readout will only leave you wasted and ruined when you look again and see it stacked against you instead of in your favor when you checked a few minutes ago.
